--Source of information: "A Book of STRATTONS" (Vol II, page 323); He lived in Tiago County for about fifteen years. He was a millwright and wheelwright. 1836-1837 they spent in Cincinnati, Ohio, and then moved to Jefferson County, Indiana, where they lived another fifteen years. In 1852 he and his eldest son went to California, remaining about one year, and then settling in Oregon where they were followed by the rest of the family in 1854. He died in Salem Oregon. He was a devout Methodist.
