Obituary Clyde N. Spencer, age 88, formerly of Nunica, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 in Traverse City, MI. He was born on March 18, 1922 to Warren M. and Elsie B. (Jenkin) Spencer in Nunica. His first wife, Louise Anna (Snip) preceded him in death on July 3, 1993. He married Lois M. (Yost) Spencer on March 19, 1995 in Grand Haven. Clyde owned and operated two adult foster care homes in the Tri-Cities area with his first wife, Louise. He retired from Leigh Products in Coopersville, where he had been employed since 1960. He was a member, Elder, and Deacon of the Seventh day Adventist Church of Grand Haven, and was very active in building the Elementary Seventh day Adventist Day School in Nunica. He was also a member of the CCC (Conservation Civilian Core), and volunteered at the Seventh day Adventist Community Service Center. Clyde loved being with his family and was always willing to help. He is survived by his wife, Lois; 2 daughters, Sharon (Bryan) Hall of Grand Haven, and Beverly (Clifford) Creasey of Edmond, OK; 3 sons: Richard (Evelyn) Spencer of Traverse City, MI, Ronald (Sandi) Spencer of Brookings, OR, and Steven Spencer of Wildersville, TN; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; also 1 brother George (Lois) Spencer of Grand Rapids, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents Warren and Elsie, twin sons James Clyde and John William Spencer, grandsons Charles E. Creasey and Paul N. Spencer. References
