Clifford R. Shepherd, well known resident of Bloomfield route 2, died at 7:10 a.m. July 2, in Freeman Greene County Hospital in Linton.
The deceased was born in Fairplay Township on November 24, 1915, the son of Denzil Ray and Lenore (Holmes) Shepherd. He was engaged in farming and was a director of the Bloomfield REMC, Producers Marketing Association at Worthington, Federal Land Bank Association, Greene County Farm Bureau Co-Op and Farmers and Mechanics Federal Savings and Loan Association at Bloomfield.
Mr. Shepherd was a member of Bloomfield Christian Church, Bloomfield Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of Indianapolis, Terre Haute and Greene County Shrine Clubs, Linton Elks Lodge, Bloomfield American Legion Post 196 and Worthington VFW.
Surviving are the widow, E. Marian Shepherd; the mother of Bloomfield route two; one son, Jack B. Shepherd, of Kokomo, and one daughter, Mrs. Jane Stahl, Bloomfield route two.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home here with Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Burial was in Prairie Chapel Cemetery.
