Clifford Glen JAQUET, son of Ira and Mabel Miller Jaquet, was born September 6, 1928, in Loraine Township, Henry Co., IL. He was a mail carrier most of his career. His first marriage was to Ellamae GUSTAFSON in Williamsburg, James Co., VA, on August 11, 1951. The couple had four children: Pamela, Glenna, Susan, and Victoria. They lived at 1417 NE Monroe St., Peoria, IL 61603 at time of his mother’s death in 1970. Ellamae was born February 8, 1933, in Kewanee, IL, the daughter of Alrik T. and Bertha Wingberg Gustafson. At the time she applied for a social security number (#350-26-4652) in 1950, she worked for Mr. Twaddle and lived at 612 E. Prospect St., Kewanee, IL. Ellamae died in East Peoria, Tazewell Co., IL, on 26 January 1980; she was 46. Clifford’s second marriage was to Vera Marie HORTON in 1980 in Creve Coeur, Tazewell Co., IL. Marie was born in East Peoria, IL, on November 7, 1929. She had a prior marriage to an Unknown Horton and had one son (dead in 2005) and three daughters. Clifford died on 26 Dec. 2005 in Proctor Hospital, Peoria, IL. Obituary in unknown Peoria newspaper; Dec. 27, 2005: CLIFFORD JAQUET EAST PEORIA -- Clifford G. Jaquet, age 77, of East Peoria, passed away Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at 1:30 a.m. at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. He was born Sept. 26, 1928, in Henry County, ILL., to Ira C. and Mabel B. (Miller) Jaquet. He first married Ellamae Gustafson on Aug. 11, 1951, in Fort Eustis, Va. She passed away Jan. 26, 1980, in Peoria. He then married Vera M. Robinson on Nov. 22, 1980, in Creve Coeur. She survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Pamela (and David) Neal of Naperville, Glenna Campbell of West Peoria, Susan (and Mark) Farraher of Metamora and Victoria Hamilton of East Peoria; and three stepdaughters, Connie (and Don Kross of Holland, Mich., Kathi (and Dennis) Kupferschmid of East Peoria and Janet (and Brian) Kupferschmid of East Peoria; eight grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren six stepgreat-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty (and Jim) Livengood of Mapleton. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, and one stepson, Randy Horton. Clifford was a Korean War Navy and Army veteran. He was a life member of Creve Coeur American Legion Post 1234. He was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ Church in Creve Coeur. He worked for the U.S. Postal service for 30 years, retiring in 1988. Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at 1:30 p.m. at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Rev. Don Zumwalt will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association., , References
