    Clifford Ray HOWARD 84, died Thursday (Oct. 15, 1981) in Tri-County Memorial Hospital, Gowanda.
    He was born Nov. 11, 1896, in the town of Pomfret, the son of Clarence L. & Dora PIERCE HOWARD.
    He had owned & operated a dairy farm, retiring 10 years ago. Aveteran of WWI, he was a member of Hamlet United Methodist Church & Villenova Grange No. 604.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Eva Mable HILLS, whom he married Oct. 29, 1919; a son Phillip R. HOWARD of Warren, PA; a daughter , jean C.ESTUS of Balcoms Corners, S. Dayton; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dollard J. HOWARD of Brockport, PA, & 3 sisters: Frances KELLEY & Ella M. HOWARD, both of Stockton & Ruth COE of Brocton.
    He was preceded in death by a brother, Chauncy L. HOWARD & 5 sisters; Mabel ANDERSON, Jesse KELLEY, Bertha KELLEY, Gladys BUSH & Fannie BOGUE.
