From his Find A GraveS6 memorial page: Clayton Richard Rogers, 83, of Forsyth, Illinois, died 11:15 p.m. Friday (April 3, 1981) in Decatur (Illinois) Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Maroa, Illinois, with visitation after 5 p.m Sunday. Burial will be in Maroa (Illinois) Cemetery. Memorials; Forsyth United Methodist Church. Mr. Rogers was born in Austin Township, Macon County, Illinois, the son of Louis Edward and Anna Clara (Rau) Rogers. He was a retired farmer, member of Macon County Cooperative Extension Board, past secretary of Macon County Farm Bureau, former director of Corn Belt Electric Coop, former director of Macon County Grain Co. and innovator of minimum tillage and farm labor and saving devices. He married Gladys May Nowlin on September 30, 1920 in Decatur, IL. Surviving are his wife; son, John of Clinton; daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Roberta) Young of Maroa; Barbara Gray of Woodridge; sister, Edna Rogers of Maroa; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. One sister preceded him in death. References
