In 1900 he was an electrician; 1920 stationary ??; 1930 an electrician on docks, and at time of death an engineer for power house. In 1920 & 1930 a nephew, Albert Lewis, is living with them. Albert was a pall bearer at William Strouse funeral in 1926. Obituary 2-WEEK ILLNESS IS FATAL TO C.H. STRAUSS Clarence H. Strauss, 77, of 614 W. 46th-st, died at 1 a.m. today at Ashtabula General Hospital, following a heart illness of two weeks, one of which was spent at the hospital. Born in Austintown, Mr. Strauss has lived in Ashtabula nearly all his life. He was employed as an engineer at Interstate Steamship Co. until retiring seven years ago. He is a member of the Moose Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Bertha, Ashtabula, and a sister, Mrs. W.B. Newell, Winter Park, Fla. Funeral services will be at the Zaback Funeral Home Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Harold Smith, pastor of Church of Christ will officiate.
