CLARA A. Fruth BASCOM -- Funeral services for Clara A. Fruth, 95, of Bascom, will be he ld at 11 a.m. Thursday at Union United Church of Christ, Bascom, the Rev s. Larry Lynch and Roy Howell officiating. Burial will be in Sand Ridge Ce metery, Bascom. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Turner-Engle Fu neral Home, Tiffin, and for an hour before the services Thursday at the ch urch. Mrs. Fruth died at 2:20 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, 1998 in Tiffin. She was born Sept. 8, 1902 in Loudon Twp Seneca CO to George a nd Olive (Hunker) Rinebold/Rinebolt. She married Archie D. Fruth Sr. on Nov. 29, 19 23 at her parents' home in Loudon Twp and he died Nov. 15, 1983. Surviving are four sons, Charles R. of Tiffin; Archie D. Jr. and Duane P ., both of rural Tiffin; Larry W. of rural Fostoria; two daughters, Mrs. E dward (Charlotte M.) Dootz, Ann Arbor, Mich.; Mrs. Frederick (Marlyn J.) M atthis, Batavia; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert C.; and two brothers, Carl a nd Ervin Rinebold/Rinebolt. Mrs. Fruth was a homemaker. She graduated in 1919 from Fostoria High Schoo l. She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Bascom, the Women's Fel lowship and Christian Leaders Class. She also was a member of Bascom Commu nity Garden Club, Study Club, and Seneca CO extension groups. Mrs. Fruth was a Grange member for 76 years. She was member of Pleasant Gr ove Grange, and a charter member of Loudon Center Grange. With her husban d, Mrs. Fruth was a Seneca CO Grange deputy.
