Aug. [?] 20. [1722.] a child of Christopher Smith named Christopher [baptized]
[Note: editor's question is because Aug precedes June, but this is the occasional difficulty of distinguishing May from Aug in handwriting because they have the same general shape. 3 reasons why this is thought to be May and not Aug: 1) it makes the dates out of order, rare for church records; 2) Christopher's birth is in May, why wait until Aug; 3) May 20 was a Sunday, but Aug 20 was a Monday (compare to other August baptism: Aug 5 and Aug 26 are both Sundays).]
