Aaron J. Garlow, stockman, banker and office building investor, was born November 16, 1858 on the Garlow Farm in Cass District. Mr. Garlow is the son of John and Susanna (Ross) Garlow, the youngest of a family of eight and the only living member. His mother was a descendant of David Davis, a "Landed Proprietor", who had purchased 30,000 acres, from William Penn. The Garlow family has possessed the Garlow Farm since 1772 when first settled by Christopher Garlow, whose son Andrew was a grandfather of Aaron J. Garlow.
