Carol Priest <> Sept 2000 writes

I am Christian's 7th or 8th greatgrand-daughter. His wife's name is Mary(Smith). I am related through his daughter Elisabeth. Christian and Mary had left Philadelphia in September of 1793 to escape yellow fever. He had come down with the fever on a stage coach and was let off at a farmer's work shed in Woodstown NJ where he later died. After the plague his wife returned to Philadelphia and had a head stone and foot stone errected where he was burried.(in the middle of 2 farmers fields called Eldridge's Hill in Woodstown NJ) If you need more infomation Please contact me. My mother, sister , and I are in the D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revolution) My Aunt Catherine was also in the D.A.R. and had researched our relation to him and his daughter Elisabeth. I have never heard about a Thomas PIERCY was he a brother? And could you give me any information about there relation. Thank you p.s. Christian and Mary lived on Front Street in Phila. They had 2 Addresses one was his house the other was his Pottery Shop. The Pennsylvania Hospital on 8th and Spruce Street had found some of his pottery in the basement several years ago when they were doing some remodeling
