Chloe was the daughter of Walter Dent (1744-1794) and Elizabeth Montgomery.
Chloe married Thomas James John Stoddert, Sr. (1763-1804) on September 21, 1790 in Prince George's Co., MD. Thomas was the son of Maj. William Truman Stoddert (1734-1770) and Elizabeth "Sally" Mislead (ca. 1736-1803).
Chloe and Thomas had one son:
1. Thomas James John Stoddert, Jr. b. ca. 1796 MD. d. 1-16-1824 Charles Co., MD. (never married).

Stone is placed here by Thomas J.J. Stoddert May 25, 180? Here lies the body of Chloe Hanson Stoddert consort of Thomas J.J. Stoddert who departed this life Sep 17, 1804....aged 38. She lived a dutiful child, an affectionate and beloved wife, an indulgent mistress, a sincere, candid and Zealous friend and died a true christian. In heaven the (stone is broken unable to read rest)
