From Find A Grave Charlotte P. Smith, 75, of 1112 Beighlea Ave., Franklin, died at 1:45 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2008, in UPMC Northwest, Seneca. She was a faithful and loyal servant who went home to be with the Lord. Born July 15, 1932, in Franklin, she was the daughter of Louis and Nora Matthews Baker. Mrs. Smith was a member or the Uniontown Heights Sunday School and Church, the Uniontown Heights Ladies Aid Society and the Uniontown Heights Bowling League. She was a homemaker and her passion was raising her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by three husbands, William Shouey, Charles Grove and Keith A. Smith, whom she married May 10, 1971. Surviving are three children, Gale Shouey and wife, Linda, John Grove and wife, Lisa, and Ronald Grove and wife, Dawn, all of Franklin; nine grandchildren, Justin Palmer and wife, Kasey, Leah B. Shouey, Lindsey A. Shouey, Matthew W. Shouey, Mark C. Shouey, John T. Grove, Kasey L. Grove, Savannah M. Grove and Jacob R. Grove, all of Franklin; and two great-grandchildren, Bailey Palmer and Ceara Palmer of Franklin. She also is survived by a sister, Shirley Larsen of Franklin; a sister-in-law, Elsie Baker of Polk; and a brother, Ellsworth Baker and wife, Lawanda, of Franklin. In addition to her parents and three husbands, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by two brothers, Merle Baker and an infant; and an infant granddaughter. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home, Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. John Sass Jr., retired Methodist minister, officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery. References
