1810 Warren Cnty., KY Census. 1815 Allen Cnty., KY Tax List. 1840, 1850,and 1860 Montgomery Cnty., IL Census. Charles helped to organize AllenCnty., KY. He was one of the first sheriff's patrolers, who rode thecounty circuit for days at a time. Sometime after 1816, Charles and hisbrother, Joseph, migrated to IL and settled in Montgomery Cnty., IL.Charles returned to KY and sold his land in 1831. He returned toMontgomery Cnty., IL permanently in 1832.
