    Charles Clay Tubbs, 89, husband of Christine Elizabeth Buckler Tubbs for 65 years, died Thursday January 9, 2014 at his home.

    A native of North Middletown, KY, born January 9, 1925, he was the son of the late James T. and Gertrude Evans Tubbs.

    He was a retired employee of the Kentucky State Highway Department, member of the Paris City Club, KY Colonel, United States Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW Post 1993.

    Survivors include, two children, Deborah Carol Hollon of Lexington and Rickey Clay and Rhonda Tubbs of Paris; two grandchildren, Christy Hollon Wilson of Lexington and Jeffery Clay and Stephanie Hollon of Paris; two great grandchildren, Charles Marcus Wilson and Levi Clay Hollon; one brother, Billy and Terry Tubbs of Sharpsburg; one sister, Mary and Sherman Mitchell of Paris and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

    In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Vickie Frances Tubbs; five brothers, James Ernest Tubbs, Bobby D. Tubbs, Jerry Wayne Tubbs, Jan Thomas Tubbs and Sonder Tubbs; six sisters, Edna Tubbs, Patsy Ruth Tubbs Campbell, Marlene Tubbs Yazell Terrill, Henriatta Tubbs White, Bessie Jean Tubbs Franklin and Barbara Ann Tubbs.

    Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday January 14, 2014 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St. by Bro. Timothy Bardin. Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery.

    Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Monday January 13, 2014 at the funeral home.

    Pallbearers will be Tommy Yazell, David Tubbs, Steve Tubbs, Michael Tubbs, Ricky Pridemore, Kenneth Smoot and Eric Tubbs.

    The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY 40361.
