Charles Robinson was born on 15th January 1854 and baptised the following month at North Mundham in Sussex, son of Fanny Robinson, formerly Edwards, and her husband James Robinson, an agricultural labourer. Charles's baptism notes that the family lived at Bramber. The family appears to have moved to the neighbouring parish of Sidlesham later that year. Sadly Charles died as a baby, being buried at Sidlesham on 29th September 1854, aged eight months old.
