- ↑ Charles Lee "Chuck" McManness, 53, Lawrence, died Monday, April 10, 2000, at his home.
Mr. McManness was an asbestos worker for the University of Kansas at the time of his death. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and he was discharged at the rank of second lieutenant. He was born Nov. 23, 1946, in Durham, N.C., the son of Lee and Flora E. Hill McManness. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1968 with a graphic arts degree. Mr. McManness attended the Mustard Seed Fellowship in Lawrence. Survivors include two daughters, Keely Wright and Tiffany McManness, both of Lawrence; two sons, Tavin McManness and Stacy McManness, both of Lawrence; two brothers, Gary McManness, Lawrence, and Brian McManness, Shawnee; his mother, Flora McManness, Sierra Vista, Ariz,; and four grandchildren.
- ↑ Charles Lee "Chuck" McManness, 53, died April 10. He was an asbestos worker at KU until the time of his death. McManness graduated from KU in 1968 with a degree in graphic arts and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He attended Mustard Seed Fellowship in Lawrence.
He is survived by two daughters, Keely Wright and Tiffany McManness, and two sons, Tavin McManness and Stacy McManness, all of Lawrence; two brothers, Gary McManness of Lawrence and Brian McManness of Shawnee; his mother Flora McManness of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and four grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Children's Life Flight at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., made in care of the mortuary.
