Charles Inglis (1734 – 24 February 1816) was an Irish Anglican clergyman and ardent Tory who was consecrated the first Anglican bishop in North America for the Diocese of Nova Scotia. He died at Kingston, Nova Scotia. He is buried in the crypt of St. Paul's Church (Halifax).

Notes

Charles Inglis came to Lancaster, Pennsylvania in about 1756. In 1758 he was ordained a deacon and a priest and was in charge of the mission at Dover, Delaware 1759-1765. In 1765 he went to New York. In 1783 he returned to England, then after being ordained the Bishop of Nova Scotia in London 12 Aug 1787, he arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia on 15 Oct 1787.
