He died on 20 Jun 1843 at Pendleton Co., WV; buried in Rippleman Ceme., Knob Rd., Grant Co., WV. He began military service on 1 Oct 1777 served in Revolutionary war, Pvt., VA Troops. He ended military service in 1782; in summer. He appeared on the census of 1782 at Hampshire Co., VA; State census listed Charles Borrer with wife and another person. He appeared on the census of 1784 at Hampshire Co., VA; in State census were Charles with wife and 2 or 3 children. He appeared on the census of 1786 at Hardy Co., VA; was on list of tax payers. He appeared on the census of 1787 at Hardy Co., VA; with no other males 16-21, two horses, one cow. He appeared on the census of 1830 at Pendleton Co., VA; as Charles Borer, nextdoor to Martin, John, Solomon Borror, p. 42. He left a will in 1843 at Franklin Co., WV; Will Book 4, p. 231, D85.
