parents: James Alva Edgell and Lucinda King

Since James Edgell and Lucinda King were not married until 1914, it is assumed that Ceretha was the daughter of Jacob Cain and Lucinda King, and later adopted by James Edgell. Alternatively, James Edgell might have been her father, as Lucinda King was his housekeeper in 1910 and possibly already separated from Jacob Cain.
