Throughout his life he enjoyed getting back to the farm to see how the crops were doing. Cecil married Elaine Johnston on January 8, 1944 and together they enjoyed 57 years of marriage before her death in 2001. Cecil was known for his great sense of humor which he maintained until his final days. He was liked by all who knew him. His nickname was "The Candy Man " as he always had candies in his pockets to give away. Cecil was a wonderful, loving husband and grandpa who was very involved in the lives of his grandsons. We will all miss him terribly, but we are thankful for his full and faithful life. We want to thank the staff of Porteous Lodge (Villa) for their loving care of our father (grandfather) over the last 18 months.
