  5. Funeral services for Mrs Harold Maffit were held in the sanctuary,Friday afternoon with burial in McDaniel Cemetery. Bill Griffin officiated at the Compton Funeral Home and Brad Burnette fromMemphis Christian College was in charge of the rites for Mrs.Maffit with Miss Jeanie Clark at the organ.

    Mrs. Maffit, 58, of Otwell, manager of The Fabric Center inJonesboro, AR, died at her home in Otwell. A native of CouncilBluffs, IA, she had lived in Otwell the past six years. Shewas a member of the Otwell Christian Church, where her husbandis the minister. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoonat 2:30pm at Otwell Christian Church. Burial will be in McDanielCemetery under the direction of Union Funeral Home officiating.
  6. Introduction to church; Mrs. Maffit is a native of the stateof Iowa where she received her education. Her theological trainingwas taken from National Bible College. She has many years ofexperience as a Bible teacher and worker with young people.She is an organist and pianist and has studied piano for 13years. She is available for piano teaching. She is also a chalkartist and her pictures will be one of the attractions of thisministry. She is an experienced counselor and stands ready atall times to talk over the problems of life with anyone.
  7. Cecelia has been awarded a "Minister of Music Certificate" fromJohnson Bible College following several months of careful study.
  8. A song book "Wealth of Memories" containing songs written byChristian Church folks, including on by Mrs. Maffit have arrivedand are on the literature table. $1.00 each.
