Worcester Telegram & Gazette (MA) - Saturday, September 13, 1997 HUBBARDSTON - Catherine E. (Harrison) Staib, 87, of 31 Mount Jefferson Road, died yesterday in Clinton Hospital after a long illness.

She leaves her husband of 51 years, Langham Staib; a sister, Margaret Abdow of Lunenburg; two nieces and two grandnephews. She was born in Bluffton, Ind., daughter of Elmer W. and Bertha (Kohler) Harrison, and lived here since 1946. She graduated from Cincinnatti High School and the International Business School.

Mrs. Staib was a clerk at Newbury's many years ago, and also worked as a secretary at Louis Varnish Co., both of Gardner. She was a past president of Unit 374 American Legion Auxiliary, Hubbardston, and was a member of the Gardner and Templeton granges.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Smith Funeral Home, 69 Vernon Street, Gardner. Burial will be private. A calling hour will be from noon to 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Ivanhoe Commandery 46 Knights Templar, c||o Gardner Masonic Temple, 42 Central St., Gardner 01440.
