Catherine D. eldest daughter of John and Elizabeth Wells Crumb, and wife of the late Francis A. Mills, was born in De Ruyter, N. Y., June 17, 1820, and died in Milton Junction, Wis., April 2, 1902.
Sister Mills became a Christian in early life and united with the Seventh-day Baptist church of DeRuyter, N. Y. The family removed to Wisconsin in 1851, and soon after she united with the Utica Seventh-day Baptist church. Sept. 19, 1851, she was married to Francis A. Mills, who died 17 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Mills removed from Utica to the town of Lima, Wis., some time in 1873, and July the 19th of that year united with the Milton church, from which she came to the Milton Junction church as one of its constituent members, where she continued faithful till death. Mrs. Mills was the last of a family of seven to pass over the dark river. "Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep." G. J. C.
