Obituary MRS. LAUG, COOPERSVILLE, PASSES AWAY AT 82 Mrs. Catherine Laug, a native of Coopersville, died Tuesday noon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle DeBree, of 911 Fountain St., NE. Mrs. Laug was 82 years old. All of her life had been spent in the vicinity of Grand Rapids and Coopersville with the exception of seven years preceding 1952 when she lived with another daughter, Mrs. Minne Ruth Bohrer of Hudson, Wis. Mrs. Laug returned to Grand Rapids last February and had since lived with Mrs. DeBree. She was the widow of Henry Laug, a farmer at Coopersville for many years, who died 12 years ago. Mrs. Laug was a member of Coopersville Reformed Church. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Bohrer, Mrs. DeBree and Mrs. Julia Nelson of Grand Rapids, and three sons all of Grand Rapids, Walter, Ernest and Melvin Laug, a sister Mrs. Herman Busman of Holland, a brother, Gilles Bailard of Coopersville, eight grandchildren and eight great children. Services will be held at the Metcalf mortuary at 3 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Harry Hoffs will officiate. Burial will be in Coopersville Cemetery. Source: Grand Rapids Herald, Wednesday.
