“JOHANN CASPAR HEPLER & SUSANNA SCHEIBLE in GERMANY Susanna Scheible, born December 18, 1718. Sponsors at her baptism: Hanns Jerg Boger and Agnes his wife, in place of Samuel Hecker, son of the miller; and Maria Barbara, daughter of Sebastian Schmid. Susanna Scheible was confirmed in the church at Lomersheim in 1733, and on February 5, 1743, married Caspar Heppler, citizen and tailor of Vaihingen , son of Caspar Heppler citizen and tailor of Vaihingen, son of Caspar
Heppler, citizen there and guild master of the tailor trade. Emigrated to Pennsylvania in 1748.
The wedding of Johann Caspar Heppler (Jr.) and Susanna Scheible took place in the ancient church at Lomersheim in 1743. It was duly recorded in the parish register of Vaihingen under the rubric "Nomina Neogramorum" (Name of the Newlyweds) as the wedding of a parishioner in the year 1743. In the entry the pastor describes the groom as "citizen and tailor of this place, legitimate son of Johann Caspar Heppler, citizen and tailor of Vaihingen". The bride was recorded as the "legitimate daughter of Jacob
Scheible, citizen and supervisor of the ducal storehouse in Lomersheim". The banns for the coming wedding had been proclaimed in the church on the first, second and third Sundays after Epithany.

After his mother's death in 1746 and his father's defection, Caspar Hepler Jr., decided to leave for the New World. The first born Jacob, and baby Christopher were born at Vaihingen and set sail with their parents. In his preparation for emigration, he sold his property in Vaihingen. In the deed books preserved in the Vaihingen Town Archives are two deeds dated in April 1748.”
