    CAROLYN SMITH ROBERTSON
    1921-2007

    On Sunday, July 8, 2007, Carolyn Smith Robertson died at a local hospital after a brief battle with pneumonia.
    Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Russell Robertson; her father and mother, George and Nettie Smith; her two brothers, Bill and Tom Smith; and her sister, Jane Smith Merritt.
    She is survived by her daughters, Pat Bridges (Dan), and Peggy Doyal (Paul); grandchildren Paul Bridges III, Becky Bridges Wilcox, and Leslie Doyal Richardson; and great-grandchildren Jordan Bridges, Nicholas Bridges, Grayson Wilcox, and Benjamin Richardson.
    A lifelong resident of Pensacola, Carolyn graduated from Pensacola High School in 1939. She married her first love, Russell, on December 5, 1941. She retired from Gulf Power Company after 35 years of dedicated service in 1976. Carolyn was a loving and gracious lady, loved by her family and many friends. She never knew a stranger, and her generosity was her life-long gift. She was a member of the Heritage Club at First Baptist Church Pensacola.
    The family will receive friends at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel from 10:00am to 11:00am on Tuesday, July 10, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am with Dr. Robert Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
    Pallbearers will be Paul Bridges, Steven Wilcox, Jacob Richardson, Ray Merritt, Mike Taylor and Jim Taylor.
    Memorial gifts can be made to either the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 120 Wall Street, New York, NY 10005-4001, or Baptist Manor, c/o Becky Kendrick Office Manager, 10095 Hillview Drive, Pensacola, FL 32514.
    The family would like to express our deepest appreciation to the staff of Baptist Manor for their tender and loving care of Carolyn ("Miss Blue Eyes") during her six months with them.
