Two male Nickel's are recorded who are almost certainly brothers of Caroline Nickel. They no doubt immigrated as a family. They are: Joseph Nickel who had a child (Agnes) with Mary O'Brien in Hobart on 6 Feb 1884. There is no record of a marriage.

Paul Nickel who married Olga Grosse on 2 Apr 1883 when he was 24 and she was 21. They had 6 children who were registered. Paul died 23 Aug 1921 at birchs Bay.
