    Carl Everett Burdick, son of Solomon G. and Hannah Doty Burdick, was born in Westerly, R. I., May 18, 1884, and died at the Westerly Hospital on July 6, 1950. His death was unexpected even though he had not been well for a long time.

    Mr. Burdick remained single all his life giving much time to his work as news reporter and to the Masonic Lodge.

    He is survived by one sister, Miss Ruth Burdick of Westerly.

    A farewell service was held at the Shilke Funeral Home on July 8 at 2:00 o'clock with his pastor, Rev. Charles H. Bond, officiating. Burial was in the River Bend Cemetery.
