Obituary

 CARL BERGMANN RITES SATURDAY AT EAST JORDAN
 Services will be held Saturday at the Watson Funeral Home, East Jordan for Carl August Bergmann, 63 of Wilson township who died at East Jordan yesterday while enroute to the Charlevoix Hospital.  Death was attributed to coronary thrombosis.  He had been in failing health for several months.  John Luebke of Petoskey will officiate at the funeral rite and interment will be in the Wilson township cemetery.
 Except for time spent in the service, he was a lifelong resident of Wilson township where he was born December 25, 1899.  He was a construction foreman of Willow Run, Kincheloe A.F.B. and other Air Force Bases during World war II and became a farmer after the War.  He retired from farming three years ago.
 He married Miss Maude Hosler in rites October 23, 1921 in Antrim county.  He was a member of Wilson Grange and a Seventh Degree member of National Grange.
 In addition to his wife, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Claude (Virginia) Pearsall and Mrs. Harley (Helen) Argetsinger of East Jordan; Mrs. Vincent (Audrey) Simon and Mrs. William (Phyllis) Simon of Petoskey; Mrs. Jerry (Judy) Morey of East Jordan; four sons, Carl, Jr., of Pickford, Donald and Larry (Hermenn) Bergmann, both of East Jordan and Paul, stationed in Maryland; 38 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Luther Brintall of Boyne City, Mrs. Freda Clutterbuck of Traverse city, Mrs. Al Grifenberg of San Reno, Italy and Mrs. Ann Martin of Grandvue.
 The body is at the Watson Funeral Home, where friends may call.
