In 1686 he sold his place and moved to Southampton or Easthampton, Mass., and is ancestor of all the Pomeroys of those places, except Captain Lemuel Pomeroy; … his death, Nov. 18, 1691, a victim to the epidemic of fever and ague prevalent at the time."
