    Buelah Gatton, 91, of Oskaloosa, passed away Thursday, afternoon, February 21, 2002 at Pleasant Park Estates, where she had resided for the last 3 years.

    Buelah was born on Feb. 9, 1911 to E.G. & Effie Lockard Fuller in Monroe Township in Mahaska County. She married Kelly Gatton on Dec. 3, 1930 in Sigourney, IA. Buelah referred to herself as a homemaker, although she also served as her husband Kelly's secrety in his real estate business for 30 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church, a lifetime member of Hospice Auxiliary, a 50 year member of the Loyal Neighbors Club and a member of the King's Daughters.

    Buelah's memory is honored by her daughtter & son-in-law, Marjorie & Paul Blom of Pella, IA; five grandchildren: Steve Gatton of West Des Moines, IA; Dean Gatton fo Story City, IA; Lynn Zeleny of Emmett, ID; Leigh Christensen of Oskaloosa; and Brad Blom of Pella, IA; a brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Bob & Donna Gatton of Oskaloosa; a sister-in-law & brother-in-law Beulah & Dwight Bunting of Oskaloosa and a sister-in-law, Bernece Ryan of Oskaloosa. She was blessed with 10 great grandchildren.

    She was preceeded in death by her parents; her husband, Kelly on Jan. 16, 1993, a son, Gary Gatton; and one granddaughter, Brenda Blom; three brotehrs: Leonard, Walter & Lloyd Fuller and three sisters: Vila Rea, Blanche Carmean & Maxine Fuller.

    Funeral was held at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel on Saturday, February 23, 2002 at one-thirty in the afternoon with Rev. Michael Crouch officiating. Interment: Forest Cemetery.
