- This indenture made the 25th day of January in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Nineteen by and between Bird Ezell of the State of Tennessee and County of Knox of the one part and John Wever of the County and State aforesaid of the other part witnessed that the said Bird Ezell doth sell and convey in fe of and confirm unto the said John Weaver a certain tract of land containing one hundred and fifty acres he the same more or less for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged to which I bind myself my hears executors and administrators firmly by these presents unto the said John Wever his heirs and assigns forever the make good the...or claim of the same tract or parcel of land...and being in the large survey of Henderson and Company and in Lot D it being part of the tract of land Benjamin Williams bought for.... Beginning on the Hind Ridge on a post oak corner thence with the conditional line of Buckner Ezell to a black walnut thence with the same line to a black walnut thence with the .....to the bran ch at a black walnut corner thence up the said branch to a white oak corner thence along the wagon road to a white oak corner thence with said line to a stake on the top of the Bullrun Knob thence up said knobs to a pine thence...corner thence with said line to the top of Flint Ridge to a woods and waters and...corner and all that appurtenances thereunto...and to hold forever from himself his heirs and assigns forever and...forever warrant and defend the same from...and lawful claim of any person or persons whatsoever either in Law or Equity to the said John Weaver his heirs or assigns forever.

- This indenture made the 11th day of January 1826 between Benjamin Smith of North Carolina by his attorney in fact Prior Lea of the County of Knox and State of Tennessee of the one part, and Buckner Isreal of the County of Knox and State of Tennessee of the other part, witnesseth that the said Benjamin Smith by his said attorney, for and in consideration of six and a fourth dollars to him in hand paid; the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has bargained and sold and by these presents does convey and confirm to the said Buckner Isreal his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of land situated in the County of Knox, bounded as follows: Beginning at a white oak on the Alder Branch, thence down the meanders of said branch to a whiteoak and sour wood, Koonts, corner-thence with said Koonts line, 30 poles to Webbers corner-then with said Webbers line 62 poles to a blackoak on Webbers line, Samuel Williams corner-then with said Williams line 100 poles to a blackoak and pine said Williams corner-thence with Williams line 120 poles to a stake on said Williams line then north 45 east forty poles to a stake on H..Hills line thence with said Hills line south 45 East to a stake Hills corner-thence south 45 East with said Hills line 30 poles to the beginning, containing more or less one hundred acres; which tract of land together with the hereditaments and appurtenances thereto belonging the said Benjamin Smith by his said attorney in fact, for himself & his heirs to the said Buckner Isreal his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend against the lawful claims of said Smith his heirs and assigns by these presents as an indefeasible inheritance in fee simple-In testimony whereof he the said Smith by his said Attorney in fact has hereunto set his name and seal the day and year first above written.

- This indenture made this 3rd day of Sept. 1841 between Buckner Ezel & Lewis Ezell of the County of Knox and State of Tennessee of the one part & Alexander Caldwell of the County and State aforsaid of the other part witnessed that the said Buckner & Lewis Ezel for and in consideration of two hundred dollars to us in hand paid, the receipt which is hereby acknowledged, Bargained and sold and by these presents convey and confirm to the said Alexander Coldwell his heirs and assigns forever ascertain....acres of Land situated in the County of Knox and State of Tennessee District....Bounded as follows
- Beginning on a white oak near the Branch thence up said Branch thirty three poles to a poplar near the Branch thence south westwardly to a condition at line and fence to a corner of James Galoways west line thence South 45 East with said line to a stake. Buckner Ezels corner thence N 45 E Ninety poles to the Beginning also including a sub division of said old Ford Beginning on the poplar above named near the Branch Thence N 45 E Twelve poles to a chestnut oak thence N E sisty poles with Webbers line to a stake thence N thirty poles to a Hickory and...on the Branch thence South fifty W one hundred and twenty poles to a pine then S forty five E to a postoak and Two pines Thence Northeast to the beginning ninety acres in the same....which....together with the....appertainances to the said Buckner & Lewis Ezel for themselves their heirs and assigns to the said Alexander Coldwell his heirs and assigns will wa..and forever find against the Lawful Claim of said Buckner & Lewis Ezels heirs and assigns and all persons by these presents as an ind...ble inheritance in..... - Personally appeared before me Moses McSwan Clerk of the County Court of Knox County Buckner Ezel and Lewis Ezel the within named bargainers with who I am personally acquainted and acknowledged they signed and sealed this written deed at the time....date for the purposes therein contained. Let it be registered the state...being paid Witness my hand at office theis 30th day of November 1841

- This indenture of bargain and conveyance made and entered into by and between Buckner Ezell, Sr. and Buckner Ezell, Jr. both of the county of Knox and State of Tennessee, witness myself that the said Buckner Ezell Sr. for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars to him in hand paid by the said Buckner Ezell the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the other considerations been in after mentioned both bargained sold and conveyed the following described personal property towit and notes of hand or bills signed on other persons to the said Buckner Ezell, Sr. One black mare, one cow, one yearling and one calf, five head of hogs, one hundred and fifty bushels of corn, sixty dozen of oats, two hundred bundles of fodder, two beds, bed steds and bedding, one cupboard and the furniture it now contains consisting of pewter ware, Delfware and crockery ware. Two notes of hand on Daniel McCall for sisty two dollars both due 25th December, 1841. One note on Levi Ezell for about forty dollars due 25th December, 1841. All of said property and notes or their proceeds to have and to hold to the said Buckner Ezell Jr. his heirs and asigns forever. But this Deed is made for the following uses and purposes. That is to say whereas the said Buckner Ezell, Sr. and his wife Lucy Ezell both being old and infirm and likely to be unable much longer to labor for themselves and maintain and the said Buckner Ezell, Jr. being willing to take the said property and notes will support furnish and supply the said Buckner Ezell, Sr. and his wife Lucy Ezell with such comforts and necessities of life such as food and rainments and out of the said property pay buy and purchase all such necessities as they require during their natural life and use said property for the benefit and support of the said Buckner Ezell and his wife. And it is expressly understood and agreed that the said Buckner Ezell, Sr. is to have no control over said property or debts in any way whatever so long as the said Buckner Ezell may and does continue to furnish such support for the said Buckner Ezell and his wife from the date of these presents but should the said Buckner Ezell fail or refuse faithfully punctually and promptly at anytime to comply with the stipulations aforsaid then and in that event the said Buckner Ezell, Jr. is to surrender all the said property to Buckner Ezell, Sr. or his wife which one may need or require the same for their support with the exception of a reasonable allowance out of said property for such time as he may have supported the said Buckner Ezell and Lucy Ezell which fact is to be ascertained by disinterested persons to be chosen by the parties one each and if necessary they to choose a third person to ascertain said fact. And the said Buckner Ezell, Jr. for and consideration of the aforsaid property agrees to furnish the said Buckner Ezell and his wife Lucy such necessities of life as they may require during their natural life from the date of these presents. In witness and acknowledgement of all of which the said Buckner Ezell, Sr. and Buckner Ezell , Jr. say hereinto set their hands and seals this 15th day of Nov. 1841.
