The 1727 Northumberland County will of his brother James Hill left Britain Hill land in Wicomico Parish which had been given to him by his grandfather James Hill. Will of Britain Hill dated 28 JAN 1744/45, proved 9 APR 1745 (Record Book 1743-1749, p. 78a). Leaves his entire estate to John Hill (presumably his son) and makes him the executor. Witnessed by Robert Boyd, Edwin Fielding, William Cooke, Jemima Cooke and Elizabeth Moore. NOTE: The will of Hannah Hill (dated 2 NOV 1740, proved 9 MAR 1740/41) of Wicomico Parish, names her son Ambrose Fielding, grandsons Edwin Fielding, William Fielding and Ambrose Fielding, and great-grandson John Fielding, son of Edwin Fielding. Britan Hill, Richard Nutt and John Hornsby, witnesses. Executor was son Ambrose Fielding. (Northumberland County Record Book 1738-1743; Booker & Motley, 1967, p. 123). References
