Will Transcript
- In the name of God Amen I Britton Boleyn of the District of York and State of South Carolina being of sound mind and memory but believing my earthly existence will soon terminate do make this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say that my executors hereafter named provide for my body a decent burial together with all my just debts
- 1st I bequeath to my grandson John V Boleyn two dollars and fifty cents in cash
- 2nd I will and bequeath to my sons and daughters G R Boleyn, Jane Boleyn, Elizabeth Boleyn, Joseph Boleyn, and John Boleyn all my ready money also all my lands all my stock consisting of one gray horse one mule and one colt also all my cattle hogs and sheep also my waggon harness etc. also all my household and kitchen furniture with all my farming utensils also everything belonging to me after my just debts before named is paid and that it is my desire that all the aforesaid property shall be divided equally between my sons and daughters except the colt which I allow my daughters Jane and Elizabeth to have.
- 3rd And it is my desire that I do hereby constitute and appoint my friends Wm McGill G R Boleyn and John Boleyn of the County and State wherein I reside executors to this my last will and testament hereby making null and void all former wills by me made whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fifth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three.
