Bransom was the oldest son of Henry Jones and Mildred Grigsby. He seems to have stayed on the family plantation most of his life but does not appear in the 1840 Census. He would have been 43. Since he does not appear in his father's will of 2 Sept 1840 and next eldest son Moses R. inherits the lion's share of the plantation, it must be assumed he died fore this date.
