    Masonic graveside services for Billy Joe Sandlin, 72, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Resthaven Memorial Park.

    Burial is under direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

    Sandlin died Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center.

    He was born Jan. 10, 1927, in Greenville. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and in Korea as an electronics technician radar 2. He was active in the Masonic Lodge.

    He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jeffus Sandlin, in 1974.

    Survivors include his wife, Mildred Evans Sandlin of Lubbock; a son, Mark J. "Tex" Sandlin of Southlake; a daughter, Elizabeth A. Sandlin of Lubbock; and his mother, Opal West Sandlin Ensley of Greenville.
