HUTCHINS, Elizabeth, d. W[illia]m and Bethiah, bp. Mar. 10, 1722-3. CR1
[Note: the source above thinks this is mistranscribed, presumably because it is such a bad match to the age at death. Age at death is not contemporary record of her birth, as it is the secondhand recollection of survivors, and given that it makes her older than her husband by about 6 years, it may be suspect. Additionally, we cannot verify that the gravestone has been read correctly since we have image available. The parentage is correct because Betty Whitney is named in her father's will dated 1764 (Worcester Probate 32264). However, the order in which she is named, which strongly appears to be in birth order, suggests she is the youngest child of Bethiah, so born after William "b. ca. 1735". This would require her age at death to be overstated by about 10 years, ie., born about 1737, age 35 at death. There is always the possibility, given the spotty records on this family, that the first Elizabeth died and the survivor was actually the second daughter of the name. There does not appear to be any coalescence of the sources around any single date and more research is needed.]
