[Note that the age in the second record appears to suit the date given in the first record, i.e., 3 May 1808 is about 3 y. 8 m. after the birth date of 20 Aug 1804. We would normally pair a death in 1813 with the birth of the 2nd daughter named Betsey, born in 1811. But birth in 1811 and death in 1813 would not give the correct age at death. It turns out the transcription reported by the VRs is incorrect, making it appear that the gravestone says a different date than the town's death record. But it doesn't. The actual gravestone says 1808, not 1813.]
