  4. Allred, p. 255, shows Betsey marrying Asa Eddy. Asa Eddy's wife d. 1860, age 64, which makes her 8 years younger than this Betsey (death record, 1850 census line 42). On p. 252, Allred shows a different Betsey Smith marrying Asa Eddy which is the correct identification. On p. 141, Allred shows James Hix marrying this Betsey, which is correct. So the misidentification on p. 255 appears to be an editing error of some sort.
