Parker, Bethyah, d. Jonathan [sic] and Elizabeth, [born] Apr. 19, 1714.
[I believe this record should say Nathaniel, not Jonathan. It would be useful to see the original record to confirm this. I cannot find any Jonathan and Elizabeth Parker in Reading. There is a Joseph and Elizabeth (Eaton) Parker, plus Nathaniel and Elizabeth (---) Parker. There is a Jonathan and Barbara (Elseley) Parker. However, the one of these that would be expected to have a daughter named Bethiah is Nathaniel whose mother's name was Bethiah. This would fit in the family being 4 years after son Nathaniel and 2 years before daughter Lydia. It is the next daughter born after his first daughter Bethiah died making it logical that there be a daughter Bethiah in this family on this date. Without this daughter there would be a 6 year gap between children and there would be no daughter named Bethiah even though they obviously wanted to use that name before. Further research is needed, such as father's will, etc. Jrich.]
