Personal History

Bessie M. (Betterton) Kepler (1850-1896)

Bessie was JW Kepler's first wife and she died at the young age of 46 without having had children. JW Kepler remarried three years later to Martha King from Pittsburgh.

Bessie was Amelia Betterton's nice per family knowledge but nothing more is known about their relationship. Both Bessie and Amelia are buried in the Joseph Williams Kepler family plot at Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago.
