Union City Times-Gazette, Thursday, March 28, 1940 - Aged resident dies suddenly. - Mrs. Bertha E. Ashcraft expires; funeral to be Saturday.

Mrs. Bertha E. Ashcraft, 67, died suddenly at her home at 436 Union street in Winchester at 10:45 p. m. last night. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. John Wysong, of Winchester; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ruth Ashcraft, of Albany; two granddaughters, Mrs. Mary Ashcraft Meranda and Mrs. Eileen Ashcraft Zehner, of Albany; two grandsons, John A. Wysong and Philip D. Wysong, both of Winchester; three brothers, George Hall of Portland, O. M. Hall of Pennville and Frank Hall of Fort Smith, Arkansas. The body was removed to the Clark and Maynard funeral home where funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p. m. with Rev. Lee Jackson of Peru, in charge. Interment will be at Ft. Recovery, O.
