BOUWMAN, Bertha, age 72 of 115 So. 9th St., Lynden, passed away Monday, October 12, (1964) in a local hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Bouwman was born in Iowa and came to Lynden in 1904. She was married to John Bouwman in 1923 who she now leaves to mourn her. Also mourning her is a brother, Jacob DeHoog of Everson; 4 sisters, Mrs. Gerrit Veleke, Mrs. Gerrit Assink, Mrs. Kate Spaan and Mrs. Paul Zylstra, all of Lynden. Funeral services will be held in the First Christian Reformed Church Friday, October 16 at 2 p. m. Interment will follow in Monumenta Cemetery. Arrangements by the Gillies Funeral Home.
