Spring Lake resident Bernice Hayes Hampton died Friday, April 3 in the Geraldine L. Thompson Care Center in Wall Township surrounded by her loving family. She was 92 years old. Born in Belmar, she was a life long resident of Spring Lake. Ms. Hampton is survived by her son, Robert Otis Jr., of Wall; three daughters, Jane Lightbody, of Neptune, Elizabeth Hooker, of Sea Girt, and Caroline Libby, of Avon; six grandchildren, David McAllister, Robert, Kevin and Patrick Lightbody, and Catherine and Elizabeth Hampton; and one great-grandson, Alex Lightbody. Funeral arrangements were under the care of the Neary Quinn Funeral Home, Manasquan. Interment followed at Atlantic View Cemetery, Manasquan. In lieu of flowers, donations to Visiting Nurses Association of Central Jersey, 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank, NJ 07701, would be appreciated.
