Was a Civil War Veteran. Died at the home of his son Howard, in Pea Brook NY. Mr. Rose's war record covered a period of 3 years. Two of his brothers and also their father, Jacob Rose, were in the service during the War of the Rebellion.

Private, Company K, 6th NY Heavy Artillery.
