Jacobus lists this Benjamin as a son of Titus Todd and his second wife Esther Barnes. However, the Find A Grave memorial records his age at death in 1828 as 72 which would indicate that he was born in 1756. In that case, he would have been the son of Titus's first wife, Esther Tuttle who died 17 April 1756. It should be noted that Benjamin is the only one of Titus's first seven children whose birth was not recorded in the New Haven Vital Records.
