B. F. Scott, Sr Birth: Dec. 2, 1822 Death: Nov. 16, 1900 Burial: Sylvania Cemetery, Sylvania, Screven County, Georgia, USA
Parents: James Scott Spouse: Katherine D. Willis Scott (1821 - 1886) Children: Benj. F. Scott (1845 - 1926) Susie E. Nunnally (1848 - 1924)
Benjamin Franklin SCOTT Sr. was the son of James SCOTT Sr. & his third wife, Temperance RAWLS SCOTT POWELL; his father and mother were also the parents of George Washington SCOTT (1826-1910) and Sarah Ann SCOTT ENNEIS (1828-1917, buried in Bulloch County). James SCOTT Sr. was the father of several sons and at least one daughter by his first wife, and was the step-father of the three daughters (surnamed HARDING) of his second wife. George's widowed mother, Temperance, remarried and also had children (surnamed POWELL) by her second marriage.
Note that his grave marker (which might not be original) very clearly says he was born Dec. 3, 1822. The FAG entry gives no source for a birth date of Dec 2.
