    War of 1812 Veteran: Served as a private in Captain Hugh Craighton's (Creighton?) Company of Ohio Militia.. County of origin unknown--Company served from July 28-Sep 6, 1813--part until 1816. Received Bounty land in Nemaha County Nebraska for above service. Patent dated 15 Nov 1861. Warrant no. 75-611 for 120 Acres; Recorded Vol 488, page 154. (Rolston 0003) Land is located 2 miles west of present downtown Peru. 80 acres located on the North half of the North-East corner of section eighteen in Township six north of range fifteen east in the District of lands subject to sale at Brownville Nebraska. 40 Acres adjoin this plot on the north-west, being the south-west quarter of the south-east quarter of section eighteen.
