"16. Benjamin3 Perry (Benjamin,2 Ezra1), born 19 March 1699/1700, died after 27 March 1742. He married in Bridgewater, Mass., 27 May 1723, Deborah Johnson (Bridgewater Vital Records; Sandwich town records), believed to be a daughter of Isaac and Abigail (Leavitt) (Lazell) Johnson of West Bridgewater ('John Lazell of Hingham' —The Register, vol. 88, p. 258). This Benjamin3 Perry appears on the list of Sandwich householders in 1730, but evidently removed soon after to Stoughton (then in Suffolk County; since 1793 in Norfolk County), Mass. 'Benjamin Perry Junr. of Stoughton' sold by deed, dated there 11 Oct. 1733, to his father, Benjamin Perry, lots 36 and 37 in the 25th Division, a tract of about 386 acres, for £100. His wife Deborah Perry signed a quitclaim of her dower right by mark (Suffolk County Deeds, vol. 48, p. 89). Four days later the father sold this same tract to his other sons: Josiah, Nathaniel and Eliakim, thus proving the identity of this family group with the Sandwich persons of the same names. In a deed, dated 12 July 1735, Benjamin3 Perry and his wife Deborah sold their right in a 100 acre tract (lot 35 in the same 25th division in 'late Dorchester, now Stoughton') to Job Swift of Sandwich (ibid., vol. 35, p. 253). See also ibid., vol. 63, p. 36, for a deed, dated 27 March 1742, by which the foregoing lot 'except what we have already sold to our honoured father, Benjamin Perry' is confirmed to Job Swift."
